There’s something about the pressure of seeing your fellow Wrimotaurs around you that provokes a certain measure of… foolhardiness? that is hard to explain when you’re not in their presence. At today’s Write-In I decided that things are going so well (after two whole days) that I should pursue a DoubleNaNo – or 100,000 words in 30 days, instead of 50,000.
SMRT like tractor, that’s me.
However, I do have a strategy. I’ve decided to immerse myself in the word of the Cyborgs. I seated myself down next to @ShelbyTheScribe in the meeting room, startling her a bit in the process, and then lucked out when Sarah sat down across from me. There was no way I could lose. Adding another 3,560 to my total today, I’m ahead of DoubleNaNo pace and feeling good.
My next challenge: 900 words in 15 min. – which is the going rate for Cyborgs, so I’m told. Time to do a little typing practice.
